A family business built on craftsmanship
Strata Contractors began life as Wilson Pavers. In 2002, Francois Wilson took over the business from his father and rebranded it as Strata Paving. Francois started his own paving career back in 1993, subcontracting for major firms in both the domestic and commercial markets before building Strata into a full-service paving, painting and maintenance contractor.
Today, based in Welgemoed, Cape Town, we serve clients throughout the Western Cape — handling everything from residential driveways and pool surrounds to commercial parking areas, estate roads and public spaces, including earthworks, layer works and surface preparation.
Every project is carried out in accordance with the relevant SANS 1200 codes of practice for civil engineering construction, and every job is backed by a written workmanship guarantee.

Francois Wilson
Founder & Owner
Francois has spent decades in the paving, painting and maintenance industry, serving clients throughout the Western Cape with good references across the board. He took over the family business in 2002 and remains hands-on in every project Strata takes on.

Behind every project is a small, experienced team of foremen, paving crews, painters and maintenance technicians who work alongside Francois on every site. That hands-on approach is what keeps quality consistent — whether it’s a single residential driveway or a multi-thousand-square-metre commercial parking area.
